Why the incident of mob threating girl life wearing dresses with Arabic calligraphy happened in Lahore and we can reduce this types incident in future?

  To understand the roots cause of these types of incident we must go through the meaning of religion, origin of religion ,emergence of Islam ,it coming and spreading in subcontinent and emergence of radical entities among the Muslim of subcontinent 

Definition of religion

 Religion is a set of organized beliefs, practices, and systems that most often relate to the belief and worship of a controlling force, such as a personal god or another supernatural being. it often involves cultural beliefs, worldviews, texts, prophecies, revelations, and morals that have spiritual meaning to members of the particular faith, and it can encompass a range of practices, including sermons, rituals, prayer, meditation, holy places, symbols, trances, and feast.

It is believed that first religion may have been present in the ancestral human population before   their migration from Africa some fifty thousand years ago, through the course of time different religions have been developed among people living in different parts of the world, at present there are about 4,200 different types of religion in the world

Islam

Islam one of the three monotheistic religions is also the second most followed religion in the world . It emerged in the Arabian peninsula when first verse of Quran  was revealed on Muhammad (saw) in the early 7^th century (610CE). In short of span of time Islam became a dominant religion in Arabian peninsula, under Umayyad empire Islam came to subcontinent in 712  CE through one of the Muslim commander Muhammad bin Qasim, whose intention and purpose of coming to subcontinent is  different subject of debate in the eyes of some historians. After that Islam exponentially spread in the subcontinent due it more inclusive nature than that of Hinduism, proper and systemic preaching by Muslim rulers and also by force conversion, in late second millennium different school of thoughts developed in the subcontinent among the follower of Islam regarding the practice and interpretation of Islamic principal due to two reasons, firstly due to Islamic culture being non native to the people of subcontinent and secondly due to challenges posed to Islam by  sub continent geographical aligned Hinduism.

Pakistan and Islam

Later on when British came to subcontinent in 16^th and 17^th century traditionalist interpretations of Islam emerged in subcontinent in opposition to the British rule, the Deobandi and barelvi school of thoughts are the products of those interpretations, as time passes by more far right(radical) section emerged from these school of thoughts, after independence these sections influence the legislative, executive and judiciary of Pakistan, every political party, every dictator even every caretaker setup in Pakistan try to please this religiously motivated nation with their controversial Islamic touches  as a result this religionism and religious fanaticism  religious extremism  integrated into every section of society and keeps on  increasing day after day,

Every second day reports of  religiously motivated mob  carrying  out a violence by taking law into their own hands , either by killing someone, threatening other or by vandalization of secret places of minorities  are coming to surface, sadly these things  are done in the name of religion of peace i.e. Islam. The recent incident happened in Lahore where a girl was tortured, disgraced and her life was threatened, due to her dresses with Arabic calligraphy was one of the chains of same events, luckily police reached the place  on time, they protected and rescued her from the angry mob, (ASP) Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi show much devotion and professionalism in handling the situation for which she  deserved appreciation , but this incident make it clear on us that as a nation where we are heading toward ,it should open our  eyes which have been closed by our religious affection. We must know that religion is more sacred than few Arabic or English word and few materialistic things , last but not the least we should understand that religion is everyone individual matter, we must not interfere in people individual matter nor try to impose our believe on others.

conclusion:

In todays fast developing world the biggest threat to Islam is posed by the individual and collective behaviors of Muslim themselves, at present time when countries and individual are seeking freedom of speech and freedom of expression the sanctity of  Islam is not  sacrilege by few word against it or by few expression on contrary to its teaching nor these thing should offend our religious sentiments,  is it is every Muslim prime responsibility that they should  help in removing the  stain of the infamous tag  "Islam is a religion of peace but if you disagree we will kill you"  from the shoulder of Muslims by putting humanity before religion ,our good behavior  and positive intention towards fellow humans.
